Oasis sits on roughly four acres at 448 Remount Road, ground-leased from Griffin Brothers, in the heart of the Brookhill corridor where South End meets a neighborhood with deep, complicated history. The project is intentionally designed to hold both realities of the community it sits within — and to bring measurable, shared benefit rather than displacement.
An independent economic impact analysis put real numbers behind the project's public benefit case.
Oasis is working with the Harvest Center to serve the full range of Brookhill's community resource needs across two distinct resident populations sharing the corridor. A Community Building Initiative is in development around Truth and Reconciliation programming, and conversations are underway with NAMI Charlotte on mental health partnership. This is programming built alongside the neighborhood, not just adjacent to it.
The City of Charlotte Economic Development Council has confirmed a presentation on Oasis for a $500K–$1.5M grant pathway, and the Knight Foundation has begun introductions to Charlotte's broader philanthropic community on the project's behalf. This is a private development, built with public accountability in mind from day one.
